He did not say he made any mistakes, he said "mistakes were made." That way he would not be lying. He has no intention of interrupting the war making gray train they have going in and out of the US Treasury for $12 billion a week. So he panders to us and this seems to give him license to go on as before til he has to leave. Don't be surprised if he bombs Iran now either.

Everything he's done in the past 6 years has been a mistake, at least for America . . . tragically, however, most of his "mistakes" have been on purpose! In other words, there is no controversy; every patriotic American who's paid any attention to anything over the past 6 years agrees: he's the worst President by far the U.S. has ever had and the worst leader of a major nation since 1930's Germany!

perchance, basically perchance, (i'm no longer being sarcastic, basically typing as i'm thinking) the gaffe does not comport with some underlying concept of him. He of course misspoke. the reason human beings comprehend he did is by using the fact he has constantly mentioned that Saddam grew to become into undesirable, and we are all greater valuable off without him. It grew to become into of course no longer a "secret sign" to his supporters, or a Freudian slip. different Bush costs - like a number of the different ones you and others mentioned (I basically discoverd the comments area, and that i flow back as quickly as I can) - DO look to confirm human beings's fears approximately Bush's alleged autocratic and warlike nature and his purported dismiss for Constitutional rights. those gaffes "play into type," or his perceived type. i'd tell Democrats to %. and choose from the numerous Bushisms and concentration on those. additionally, to beat a lifeless horse, Clinton made very complimentary comments approximately Senator William Fulbright, his political mentor and a VietNam war opponent, yet in addition a segregationist. i think of it grew to become into at his retirement. human beings did no longer attack Clinton for doing so - first, via fact in comparison to others, he can talk English fluently, and 2nd, via fact Clinton grew to become into no longer customary to be, or perhaps remotely suspected of being, anti-black in any way. I truthfully have a tendency to get long winded. i will stop mutually as i'm forward!!! :)

As far as I know Bush has never admitted to making a mistake. He has said things like "mistakes were made" or "I take responsibility" (for the slow response to Katrina) but has never really admitted to a mistake.

Yes. In an interview about a month ago Bush stated dismantling the Iraq Army was a mistake. He said his tough rhetoric "bring it on" "wanted dead or alive" was a mistake and so on.

I think he admits that "Mistakes have been made" and he takes full resposibility but I don't think he ever gets specific on what he thinks the mistakes were. Typical polititian.

I guess I must have missed it also, because I never heard him admit a mistake.

Trying to appease Extremist fundies
Ignoring pre-9/11 warnings
Opposing, then supporting, a 9/11 commission
Invading Iraq
Mismanagement of Katrina
Jack Abramoff
