Why do some people have certain interests, while other people have different interests?

Basically, because we're all different to some degree. How are brains are wired, and what we're exposed to probably have a lot to say about this. Like what you like. Going with the crowd just to agree doesn't mean much to me. Besides, if we were all alike in our interests, we'd be pretty boring?(or it would get old quickly!)
