Pinch yourself really hard and hold it there for roughly 4 hours.
That's about what the pains like. It goes away when the needle stops buzzing though. It's not bad, just really annoying mostly.
Good luck on choosing where. That's a tough one for girls. I personally don't find them attractive on girls.
The lower back is really common. Definitely don't get anything on your thigh. Yeach.
I think a small tattoo on the upper arm can be rally cute.
Go with what suits the tattoo really. Then just try not to lose or gain weight;)
Easier said than done right.
I've got sparrows on my chest, both my upper arms completely covered, one lower leg covered, and one just calf.
All were done in different countries and have different stories that mean something to me.

Try out the ankle first. It's not as painful, and even tattoo-haters seem to like em! It really does look cute to have a tiny little flower or gecko on your ankle! ;)

The brain basically stops getting much bigger after adulthood.
Try there!
Seriously, if you are only looking parts that don't change,
-) Head
-) Hands
-) Feet
Why don't you try a tat that looks cool big or little?
Or get a smaller tat?

lower leg, feet, lower arm, back or neck, down the spine are all places that won't change shape too much.
pain is the annoying kind, not the AARRGGHH kind.

For me, I always like a tattoo on my lower back; however, if you are getting a tattoo that is like on a bone (back, ankle, etc) hurts more to get done then getting it done on a "soft" part of your body (stomach, belly, etc).
