You might want to rent the movie ZULU. It's rather accurate in what the Zulu warriors wore when attacking Roarke's Drift.

You need to be far more specific, there were thousands of tribes in Africa throughout history and each of them had different customs, traditions and styles of tribal clothing.
If you could narrow down a specific tribe and time in history, maybe we could be of assistance.

Flip on National Geographic, they are still wearing the same thing! A loin cloth...although, sometimes they wear nothing.
