Your best bet is to take a look at his Campaign website.

To go into what Barack (that's right his name is spelled Barack not BARAK) Obama believes in would take too long, so I will recommend reading his books DREAMS OF MY FATHER and THE AUDACITY OF HOPE.

Even though the US Presidency is argubly the most important political position in th world, the President does not have a wealth of experience that allows him (and maybe one day her) to govern an entire country. He has a Cabinet as well as other high ranking supporters aiding him in his decision process. I am always amazed that when people talk about Barack Obama, his "lack of experience" is seen as a negative. To be President, one only needs to be intelligent, thoughtful, decisive and committed. If I am a manager for Apple looking for someone to program the new I-Pod/Cell phone, I would want to hire someone with experience. But politics is open enough to have a President who is a peanut farmer, an actor, a lawyer, or a businessman

He has more life experiences and experience in Washington D.C than GWB did when he took office. He is alot wiser than GWB. And, he is a Christian. Please, people, we have the net nowadays. There is no reason why you shouldn't know where the politician stands. If you're waiting for the television to tell you, you're one lazy S.O.B. Do your job as a citizen and do alittle on line research. Here's his senate office web site for you to explore:

Here's his voting record in the senate on the issues:

MC, he's not playing the race card, he's telling you his experience of being a black man in America. This isn't a pc statement, it's a statement of his personal experiences in this country. He's not blaming anyone. And, since when is telling the truth about veiling something? Telling the truth is an unveiling of the masquarade this country plays. He isn't acting like an Al Sharpton or a Jesse Jackson in that if a black is victimized by a white, they are all over it. But if that black person lied they disappear. Both of those black politicians asked Obama to vote for 2 black candidates in his state. He refused to do so and endorsed the white candidate. Why, because he was more closely aligned with the issues with the white candidate. And, one of the black candidates had some questionable business dealings. To me, this tells me Obama is the real deal who is following that speech by MLK.

Who knows? he does not know himself. I know him and his wife now are pulling the racist card, guess they figure this will get votes. Typical.
Obama said that struck me as odd was that if you look like an African-American you get treated like one. Exactly what does that mean?

I just have some real trouble with a statement that sounds like a veiled message that he was treated differently because he looks black. This whole if you look African-American argument smacks of race baiting, as if we are supposed to feel sorry for him.
I think it is a tactical error for him to make such statements and for his wife to pipe in with the same nonsense. Dr. King said something about judging people by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. Obama should read that speech again and take those words to heart. If he wants to be President than he needs to act Presidential and not like a victim. The victim mentality is not the proper approach for anyone who wants to be President.

That also goes for anyone who thinks that women are victims so a woman should be handed the job. Demonstrate leadership and qualification for the job and leave the rhetoric at home.

end the insanity....it style of sounds like there are such extremely some religious (a minimum of non- mainstream Christian religions) bigots on right here. It does no longer matter what his faith is. Do you purely like the guy for president? If sure, solid, vote for him. If no, solid, dont vote for him. end attempting to sway human beings. You act like those those who come to my door and tell me i am going to Hades if I dont___ (fill in the sparkling). save your critiques to your self. The are like hiney-holes, actually everyone has one and really everyone thinks theirs smells more beneficial efficient than everybody elses. i'm happy there are some human beings answering with worry-free sense. it truly isn't any longer real of the 100s of questions in the present day about Obama's faith or Hilary's "crying."

His experience as a leader is sorely lacking. Who knows what he believes in and represents? I'm supposed to vote for somebody like this? It figures the Dems would encourage this mistake. They should tell him to run for mayor or govenor, not president.

And why is that important?

It looks like Cons won in 'framing' the debate. Elections should be about issues, about the future, not about a candidate's belief.

If a guy worships magical unicorns, but has a good and solid platform, then I'll still vote for him anyway.
