the apple's definetly get a couple points just for looks alone....but really it comes down to warrany. whoever gives the best warranty wins that battle.
ps. double check the fine print in how a defect is defined. some manufacturers require a number of dead pixels for a warranty to kick in and some even define the location of them to be added to the tally (as in edge of the screen or center doesn't count)

Happy Early Birthday. Despite the warped apple TV commercials... You'll get a lot more computer for your money with a Dell. If you're a Costco member, they have some great packages with 22" or 24" monitors. Check it out www.costco.com
If you're only looking for a monitor, check out the selection at www.tigerdirect.com The resolution and the refresh rate (5ms) are what matter the most.

Dell is good. My laptop was a Dell. Its cool. Apple is popular in schools and shows on tv. Thats probably good too.

Dell is really good, My laptop is a dell I have a 15inch on it and it's really good, my friend has a 20 and it is also really good and nice, Dell will probably be more affordable, than a Mac.

Get the mac power book pro. Dell still has a problem with the viruses, Good ole mac's solved that problem along time ago. Get the best...go with mac.

i would say you should get a lcd monitor you should be able to find one with dell or get a plasma screen if you can.
