I know I have, several in fact. I don't mean it in a sexual manner, although, there are a couple but isn't that the nature of the beast called humanity? Mostly I just enjoy getting to know people and although this isn't the format to do so, it is a way to initiate conversations privately. Is that wrong?

That's really strange...I was just thinking about asking this very question today. I've read stuff from some that was quite intelligent and caring, where from others annoying and rude. Yet, each and every one an individual. I am curious about you all out there in YahooLand who spend time on their puters to give answers and ask questions. It showed a kind of solidarity amongst us who apparently have nothing better to do. In answer to the question...I think it would be cool to get to know the people on here on a more personal level. Perhaps Yahoo ought to set up a way that should someone want to be contacted or to be able to contact they would merely click on their icon or something. I think we're all a bit serious, a bit caring, and a bit sarcastic...and even at times...a bit stupid. But that's being part of the human race. I thank all those who have answered my questions, shown interest, and to those who rated my answers to their questions. I hope my knowledge and insights have benefited those individuals. I think this program is pretty cool.

No, I don't think there's anything wrong with that at all, if anything, you should be applauded for desiring such a thing; most people take a stance of arrogance and condescension on these boards so someone who praises the individual is someone worth knowing himself!
I've encountered some of the wittiest, smartest and just generally most provocative responses to questions that always seem to extract stupidity in my experience of inquiring about things verbally. A lot of the people who come here seem to really want to help others, and many times I've wanted to privately address people to get to know them better and learn more about them and their beliefs/interests.
Only problem is, I don't know how to go about contacting people!

Not on this forum, yet. It's a bit hard to get to know people. But definitley on now-defunct Yahoo forums. I've had the pleasure of meeting 3 such people in person. They were all very nice, but different than I'd imagined them. Including one big bear of a Ukrainian guy who's sense of humor and kind spirit do not always come across in his screen writing.
I hope to meet more in person in the future.

i have meet close to 400 hundred people though this site i must admit most of them where guys trying to get rid of a load
yet out of the others i have made many friends from all over the world and talked about many issues that are on here and not
and have learn from them things i never thought would be issues
as well as having some great talks when i feel down

There are a few people on here I admire sufficiently that I would like to have them as friends.
And there are one or two others I'd like to get to know with a baseball bat.

Yes I have, and you are one of them. I see nothing wrong with trying to meet new friends and getting to know new people. I don't find it to be wrong at all.

Yes, there's a couple people that I've felt really gave nice answers especially when I needed to be consoled about something. It would be cool to chat with them on a regular basis.

Yes, there's one lady on here i would love to get to know, not on a sexual basis but because i love her answers. Can't think of her name off hand.
