Do you think that, after what they did, they could ever have imagined that the people, that they did so much for, would simply allow the sovereignty of this USA to be given away? Millions enter our country and our, so called, leaders refuse to take any meaningful action. Agreements are being made to form a EURO type union, without so much as a peep from our government or the people of this country. Thousands are being killed in Iraq, and that is distracting everyone from the thousands who are being killed by the illegal invaders. Many defend illegal immigration, claiming that they are tolerant, but how far does tolerance go? Many defend the President's lack of action. Does a President that does not use every power available to him, including the "Bully Pulpit", to protect his homeland, deserve your loyalty? I believe that if our Founding Fathers knew that we would ever become this passive, they would simply have said, FORGET IT!.

It seems to me that they would be revolted by a mere two major political parties (Washington especially warned against shrinking down to having only 2 major political parties in power), career politicians (elected office seems to have been meant as what one does in twilight years as a means of benefiting one's fellow citizenry rather than as a full blown career), the heavy emphasis on the national level (federalism vs. states rights) as compared to the state level and the passage of the 16th Amendment (federal income taxation in addition to a wide, wide variety of other tarrifs, taxes et al). Illegal immigration is something that strikes me as a matter that would not have been looked well upon at all. They, as a rule, seem to have favored the American sphere of influence to restrict itself to the Americas proper, likely pressing expansion into both the Pacific as well as throughout the Carribean and perhaps even through Central and South America.
I do not believe they would have said forget it - they would most likely foment a second American Revolution were persons of there ilk around in this day and age. They had courage, intelligence and the will to do what they deemed necessary for the long term.

You need to read the writings on future government here and the perils we faced. All by Thomas Jefferson very interesting he called it back then, one of the greatest statements was when he said, "I am a statesman and not a Politician". That was the key right then and there the handwriting was on the wall. He also talked about the people in businesses and enterprising interests the greed and the foreign governments conspiracies that we would always have to police ourselves from within because we had too many people with foreign interests. He wanted no foreign governments owning any property. Remember the Louisiana purchase? He busted France when he was President because he caught them in their plans of conspiracy with our enterprising civilians in big business here, (americans), he would have hung them all if he could have but instead he got Louisiana and he pursued the Northwest passage with Lewis and Clark because he saw this the day was coming when we could not control our country without bigger prosperous lands to adjoin as a union to fight as one against those that would destroy our country.

I think that we should stop thinking of ourselves as democrats, Republicans, liberals, etc. We should start thinking of ourselves as a plain Americans who want our government to get their collective heads out of their butt and start acting on whats best for us. We are so busy blaming each other(well the republicans did this and the democrats did that) that the bigwigs in Washington and walking all over us. Maybe its time some of them realize that we, the public put them there and they are supposed to work for us(the people). That's why our founding fathers are probably asking themselves why they even bothered to start a revolution. We just traded British royalty for government employees.

They would be turning in their graves if they knew how Bush is breaking the Constitutions, that were to never be broken. Bush doesn't care because he doesn't have the ability to read and know what the Constitution stand for. Did you hear him this morning He said I read and then he said sometimes.

you say presidents lack of action... he has asked for any views of action and none have been given. At this moment the president is the only one witha realistic plan of action unless you believe in the redepoyment stuuf that only a few democrats believe in - . resending our troops to gaum, and other such nations- what would they do there... what for another attack- I would rather be on the offensive.

you need to learn how the muslims in the middle east think- I have learned- of the hate they breed. there is only one answer

yes I agree they would be turning over in their graves if they knew how much damage our comrade leaders have did to the country that they fought worked and bleed for , but, again I wonder what they would do if they knew how cowardly, passive, and uncaring their offspring had become, not one man has made a stand against them , not even to take to the streets and make demands, how cowardly we are,

The "founding fathers" of this country took over this land, by wipeing out most of the Indian tribes that lived here.

So your "thousands who are being killed by the illegal invaders" is pretty hypocritical. Indians were killed by us......the illegal invader at that time.

So with that being said........what is your question again??
