OK, perhaps you need to consult a dictionary or do some more research? if a man is gay, then the best partner would be a man....just as a woman would be the best partner for a lesbian, like myself.

For a gay man it would be another gay man. For a gay woman, it would be another gay woman. Am I missing something in your question, I would think it would be obvious.
