I'm very happy. It's not overrated at all.
I think the problem is "what is your definition of happiness?" Is it having lots of material crap, or making money? Well then, no wonder you're disappointed by "happiness" when you get it all.
I find happiness to be being around people that I love, and who love me very much so. Since I have it, I'm very happy. Anything else is just an extra.

Happiness is not overrated. I am manic depressive so I am high and low at times. You cant be happy all the time, no one can, but it is good to be happy. Even if it is sometimes.
Try prozac from your doctor or something. Or just excersize alot.

um....no. what is the ultimate end of anything you do? why do you work or go to school? > to have money > to buy things > to have a good life > to be happy. everyone's version of exactly what makes them happy is different, but how could happiness itself be in any way a let down or overrated? lord, are you an effing nihilist?

What is happiness? How can you call something overrated without knowing what it is?

If it's overrated, what's the alternative? Would you honestly choose a miserable existence if given the choice?

No. Happiness is the nature of our being.
It exists as our reason for being when some things are going wrong in us and in our lives.
It is underrated.
We live in a physical universe and cannot know what heat is without cold.
We know that there is misery in the world, and we would like to end it, it will happen, but it's a long way off.
Yours truly,
Jonnie

No. I've felt it once, and it's not overrated. I wish all the people and animals could feel that way, at lest once in a lifetime.
