It was good if you were white. It really sucked if you were black. I don't know how it was for hispanics.

Let see, it was really fun. The slaves ate little or nothing. They were separated from families, the women and young girls were rapped in many cases by there own slave owning dads. A male slave would have to condone his wife being raped by the owner or overseer. They were given hand-me-down clothes once per year if they were lucky and if a slave ran away, the rest of the loves ones that remained suffered the consequences. If would be fun to robbed of your name, language, religion, culture, God, and homeland.

To maintain order and discipline and decrease the chance of rebellion the owners and overseers use to take a pregnant women, hang her upside down, slice her stomach open, let the unborn baby fall to the floor, then stomp the unborn child in front of all of the other slaves. When a slave was beaten, afterward they would throw hot pork grease on the torn bloody flesh and let it stay there all day.

So you see it was a fun time and all of this was done and justified in the name of Christianity and Jesus Christ.

most were largely sufficient. that is, nearly everything that planters, their families, and their workers needed were produced on the farms.
on large southern plantations, slaves toiled in groups of about 20- 25 under the watch of overseers. overseers were men hired by planters to watch over and direct the work of slaves. enslaved people preformed strenuous and exhausting work, often for 15 hours a day at the peak of the harvest season. if slaves did not appear to be doing their full share of work, they were often whipped by the overseer.
we're learning that in history right now thats how i know.
