I have the gamecube version and I've beat it three times. I have the thompson and the infinite launcher, and I want to unlock the handcannon but it's to hard to get 5 stars on every level with every character, so could some one please give me some tips for mercinaries?

buy the memory card that has th full game already saved on it... that's what i did... it was 4 dollars...

mercenary is hard, but just go as fast as you can when the game begins, and be sure not to overlook any chests that contain more time. try to rack up as many fallen enemies you can in a row, even though you probably already know this. i think you should run through every enemy instead of trying to evade. you kill more that way.
