Basically what is a formula snowmobile? I see them for sale, but what is the diference between a formula and a regular? Thanx for the answers in advance, and please only answer if you truly know. Thanks again!

The formula is the souped up racing model of that particular sled. It has better response, the jets are bigger in the carburetors. The regular is just the plain model of that year and make of that sled.

Formula is a model of snowmobile made by Ski-Doo. I use to own a Formula STX LT and it was a great sled. Formula was Ski-Doo's performance trail sled model. It's not the hill climber that the Summit is and it isn't the muscle sled that the Mach Z is but it is a very versatile and fun sled. They have since been replaced by the awesome MXZ, which is Ski-Doo's snow cross machine. Formula's are now getting a little old which is probably why you are seeing a lot for sale.
