Quercus (the oak).
The sun god Apollo was driving his chariot across the sky one day when an acorn fell out of his jacket. Although he knew better than to leave anything in the sky that didn't belong there, he figured, "what will one little acorn hurt? and how will anyone will find out?" So he left the acorn there in the sky. Over the centuries, it grew into the mighty constellation Quercus that we see in the night sky.

Am I the only one that's a little disappointed/disgusted that an "Astronomy" teacher is assigning their students to write stories about pictures they draw?
Real astronomy is more awe-inspiring than any Greek myth.
