it does happen, mind you every single pregnancy is different.
i had ''all day sickness'' all 9 months. was in and out of the hospital for dehydration... so know what you are talking about. but if your doctor isn't worried, then you shouldn't be. you probably don't actually throw up more than ya eat, it just seems like it. i actually lost a bit of weight too when i was pregnant... (mind you i'm 120lbs and 5'6''.... so it wasn't like i was overweight and needed to).
if you continue to get sick, including when you drink liquids go back to your doctor. see what they can do, you might be dehyrated and you definitely dont want to be while pregnant, trust me!
try to eat bland food, such as toast, crackers, ect. drink gingerail and eat ginger snaps if possible. (ginger is supposed to help....). if you can't keep anything down try power aid or gatoraide because you might be dehydrated and those will help quite a bit. if not your doc can give you some meds to help (mine did but didn't do all that much.... we tried 2 different pills).
so i guess just keep trying, i'm sure you are fine!

I lost 25 pounds during pregnancy between throwing up at 10 to beginning of twelve weeks and my hypothyroid medication. I made the exorcist look good in that time. I don't have morning sickness anymore and am glad. The doctors said everything was okay though. Even though it is hard, try to drink as many fluids as you can so you do not get dehydrated.

I had horrible morning sickness all the way through both of my pregnancies. I'm sure your doctor is monitoring your weight gain, etc and if that's normal, you're fine.
Have you tried papaya pills? They are awesome! You can get them pretty much anywhere- made from papaya enzymes. I survived off of them, and I got mine at Wal-Mart. Also, emetrol is available anywhere. It's perfectly safe for pregnant women, too.
My other suggestion is when I really couldn't stop vomiting, and I was scared that I wasn't keeping any food down, I would eat miso soup (Available pretty much everywhere, but especially easy to find at health food stores). There is something very stomach-calming about it and it contanins some decent nutrition.
Good luck and congratualtions!

Yeah it can be like this, so I would listen to your doctor, but you could tell them again, just to make sure. They have this a lot as many women have terrible morning sickness and cant keep anything down. I was like you, but it does get better in the longrun. If you try to eat some dry biscuits etc this should quel the sickness a little, but other than that its just a matter of persevering. If it carries on and you are becoming malnutritioned etc they will intervene,
Congratulations and Good Luck

It is very normal. I finally stopped throwing up on a regular basis a little of 22 weeks. I am now 26 weeks. I have started gaining more wieght and I am able to keep more food down than before. I still get sick from time to time, but not as often as before. If you and your doctor find that you are not getting better and not able to keep food down, they can prescribe medication for you that is safe for your baby as well as you. Good luck and take care. If you ever need a buddy to chat with feel free to contact me at y2jade1@yahoo.com.

With my son...girl, I was sick as a dog for 8 months...so much so, that they had to medicate me because I was becoming malnourished. Normally, you'll stop feeling so sick very soon. If not, your doctor will need to do something to rid you of the nausea. At this stage, the baby is getting what he/she can from you. YOU are the one who is suffering from the lack of nutrition, but usually, they do a urine test at every appointment, and if you don't gain weight, they'll do blood tests to check your iron levels. If the doctor isn't panicking, I wouldn't worry yet. Hang in there. It will get better!

My wife done the same thing for months...Just keep trying to push fluids.....try getting some with some value to them such as juice etc. also if u can hold some down vitamins will help keep the immune systems up, but I'm sure your dr. told u that already too :-) But yes you are not the only one who's been there. It will get better...Of course if you find a paticular type of food that triggers it you should stop those....ie: spicy, citrus. hope this helps you.
