i am almost 4 monhts pregnant and throw up more then i take in...?

is this normal... the doctor says yes but i think not,,.

This is gross... but how do you really know you are throwing up more than you are taking in? Are you gaining weight? Is the doctor comfortable with the growth your uterus is showing at this point? How often are you throwing up? What are you able to keep down?

I suffered from hyperemisis (excessive throwing up) for my whole pregnancy. I couldn't keep any food down. My doctor per scribed Zofran, it's very expensive, but worked for a while. I ended up in and out of the hospital for IVs a couple times. On the bright side my son was healthy and weighed just over 8 lbs. It happens to some of us, and every pregnancy is different.
