Yes, unfortunately, the reason the democrats hold a majority is because a lot of the newly elected dems are more conservative than liberal. Unfortunately, liberalism is dead. One of the first people to crusade for conservative values was actually, more like a modern liberal, Barry Goldwater. He ran against LBJ, and lost, but he supported NAACP, pro-choice, and for gay rights. Most modern day conservatives don't even know who started their whole movement, and if they did, they would realize, they are not real conservatives, like my source, you can thank Ronnie for involving religion into political views. So, in a way, the true conservative way is really dead. This country has evolved into an aristocracy based on hipocracy.

Liberals highjacked the Democratic party years ago and have never let go. Left-wing extremists like Pelosi, Obama, Hillary, Edwards, Kennedy, and Gore are unfortunately alive and well. Sadly, Republicans are moving to far to the center. President Bush is hardly a conservative, and it is mostly liberals and moderates in the running for 2008.

If I were liberal I would feel betrayed by Hillary for sure. She wants to have the cake and eat it. Waffling on troops, what does she really believe in.

Not me. I think the more extreme leftist agendas alienated far too many voters--including some normally Democratic voters. I just wish the DNC could *organize* itself better. Where the Republicans beat us every time is, they're more organized and stay more on-message. While it makes sense that the Democrats value individualism more, they risk losing their base because of mixed messages.

You should feel betrayed by all politicians. They all take the corporate money that is, on average, split about evenly between the two parties.
