At one point, I had two best friends, one best friend started dating the other. For two and 1/2 years I was but on the back burner and snubbed. Now they broke up. Her boyfriend (who moved away) recently sent me an e-mail explaining why he hadn't really spoken to me in years and why he had broken up with his girlfriend. In some respects, the e-mail tells me more about why he dumped her than he told my friend. Some of actions are appauling to me, but I can tell he's trying to be honest and make things right. However, he seems to be going about it in the wrong way. I still don't know where I stand with him, whether I should answer the e-mail with a calm understanding voice or with an honnest cry of how I really feel. On one hand I feel he deserves every bit of animosity he gets from me, and on another, I feel like he should get a second chance. I would like some other peoples oppinion on what they think. So, if you wouldn't mind...voice your oppinion?

It's not about what he deserves. It's ALL about what YOU deserve.
Be honest to him, then give him a second chance if you really want to. But most important here, be honest with yourself.

Tell him you don't want to be anyone's second choice, and move on from there.
