4 me it was either when i went outside in the middle of winter 2 feed the pet duck i used 2 have and saw a trail of blood in the snow leading down 2 the creek and when i followed it i saw my duck laying dead on the ice that was on the creek..........or when me and my dad were outside building a snowman and my old dog (queen) ran across the road and when we noticed we started calling 4 her but a car was coming and me and my dad tried 2 get her 2 stay where she was but she thought we were still calling her so she ran out into the road and got hit by the car (both of these happened during christmas vacation in 5th grade)

The saddest thing in a long time happened on Monday. I found out on Feb. 8th, one of my good friends from high school comitted suicide. I went to his funeral today. It was definitely the worst Valentine's Day of my life!

May 17, 01 - diagnosed with ALS (degenerative, incurable, terminal illness). I was told that I have 1 - 3 years of life. I had to tell to my then 7 yo daughter that Mummy is very sick & going to die very soon.
November 11, 05 - found out that my husband (now ex) is cheating on me while I was on the verge of being admitted to a Hospice
June 16, 05 - the death of my stepfather

When my nephew died from SIDS at the age of just 5 weeks. I didn't sleep much after that as I had an infant daughter who was just 6 weeks old at the time. I was so scared the same thing was going to happen to her.

My grandfather died when I was 8 years old. It was a very long time ago, but a huge piece of my heart was gone after his passing. He made me who I am today, and had such an influence on my personality. My life honestly isn't the same without him. I cry about it to this day.

Aw I'm so sorry to hear that.
Mine was when i lost my dog, Poochini, to cancer (His starsign was cancer... creepy hey?) That was 3 years ago.
Second, I was driving in Phillip Island and saw a kangaroo on the side of the road, it got hit by a car. Poor thing was barely alive.

When I found out my Father had cancer. It was a short battle and one night in the hospital we were told he had 6 months to live...... Then he died the next day! Saddest day of my life. I wish he could have seen me grow up and marry and meet his grandaughters...... He would have been so proud.

being all alone in the world.watching everybody else around me live a normal life.not being able to find any real love,no matter how hard i try.having to fight and struggle and suffer to get certain things,that come to other people so easily.this has basically happened to me all my life.enough said.
