where should i go in malaysia (KL) if i want to experience the native culture and tradition... i will be there on the first week of march.

i want to see traditional dance, costumes and food
please help thanks!

For sure don't look for culture of that sort in KL. That would be like looking for native american indian pow-wows in modern New York City. Sabah and Sarawak are the places to go for more "native" culture, but most of what you will see is adoptive culture from Borneo and not native Malay per se.
Most of what you will see as far as tribal traditions in modern day Malaysia will be recreated "for your entertainment" such as in the Cherokee Indian reservations in the US.

East Malaysian states Sabah and Sarawak are the best place to experience the cultures of the various ethnic native communities in particularly the Sarawak Cultural Village - a living museum (type the name hit this site for details). You must check this out dude, I was involved with the Gala Opening years ago. In any case, these two states are popluated with large communities of Borneo natives: Ibans, Dayaks, Melanau, Bidayuh and others.

If u r referring to KL..

i suggest u go to Kraftangan malaysia..
For traditional dance & food u may go to a restaurant call Saloma Restaurant..
there's a traditional dance performance while u eat.

Yes, Sabah and Sarawak is right place instead of K.lumpur.
