Most babies are born with blue eyes since blue eyes have the lease amount of pigment. They will continue to gain pigment until about nine months. Blue has the least pigment, followed by grey, green hazel and brown.

If the baby's eyes are still blue at nine months...you have a blue eyed baby! Check out the web site below for your chances of having a baby with green, grey, blue, or brown eyes.

Baby's are usually born with blue or brown eyes. If the child is born with brown eyes, they will stay brown, maybe just change shades. According to all the readings that I have done and I read everything when I was pregnant, at 12 months you are supposed to know the color that a child's eyes will be. However, I think that the shade may change to some degree still. I have two nieces who at 12 months they're eyes were a hazel, but now that they are 3 and 6 they're eyes are much darker and closer to brown, but still have a little green in them. My son was born with blue eyes, he will be 12 months next Wednesday and his eyes are blue.

If he is african american you can just about bet the farm that their eyes will be brown. Same with mexican's. If the baby is european, you have a lot wider choices. Blue, green, grey, hazel or even pink if the baby's an albino. KitKat said that all babies are born with blue eyes.If a black mama has a kid with blue eyes, you can bet their's a honky in the woodpile somewhere. Hope this helps and Good Luck !

You won't know right away. Most babies are born with blue eyes. My old boss' daughter was born with blue eyes, then they turned to green around her 1st birthday, and by the time she was 3 they were dark brown.

All babies are born with blue eyes. The color they change to depends on the parents. The parent with the darker color eyes will be dominant in the first child.
