If so, it will be a BIG mistake. How many more troops could
go & try to avenge this alarming deployment? The best way America could be devastased would be if all of these troops were attacked. This may be a set-up by Iran, but I doubt. If the Top Dog at the Whitehouse don't keep his mouth shut that is exactly where we will be, if so, we will never leave there. Who will be left to defend America?

For Oil reserves, Iran is 3rd behind Saudi Arabia And Canada. If the US invades Iran, and considering Vietnam & Iraq, I can't see them being that foolish. Iran is far more equiped to deal with an invasion than VN or Iraq. Also China & Russia have vested interests in Iran. I know the US administration is whako, but I don't think This wacko.

No, not while Bush is President. Bush said after the November election that he is going to cooperate with those that won because elections have consequences. He's giving it one last try to see if the terrorists that are killing civilians in Baghdad can be controlled. Yes, these terrorists are coming into Iraq from Syria and Iran. But Congress won't let it spread outside of Iraq. Not unless Iran sets off a nuke in L.A. or NYC.

The Problems in the Middle East are related to religion. We hear the term "radical islam" frequently. Radical is a politically correct term for fanatical. They kill other muslims because the other muslims don't believe exactly as they do. That is very fanatical.

What do these religious fanatical zealots believe? They believe that all of the world should live under strict islamic law. Allah and the prophets are angry that the world is not living under strict ilamic law. Allah is not blessing them because of the infidels. In order to apease allah, they must bring the world under strict islamic law.

The only way to reason with these fanatics is to capitulate that we will all live under their version of strict islamic law.

Then we will have peace. Is it worth it?

It sounds like Bush would like to go to war with Iran and even Syria. But lets hope our congress wont let that happen. Our military is spread to short now, one more war and we can be in real trouble. The trouble could be so bad we will have no one to protect our borders if we need to. The Coast Guard and other services will have to pull up the slack.
The war in Iraq has cost us in the high billions, do you really thing we need another war? I say we stay home and protect our country here before our country goes bankrupt.

That would require congress to have some brains and some balls, both of which seem to be a premium in that once distinguished body. We can't even get these puerile partisan pukes to support the war effort in Iraq. How do you think we will persuade them to start another bigger conflict with the fanatic loons in Iran?

President Bush's position on Iran is "disturbing" and "dangerous", reads a recent screed written by AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee). Recently the Bush administration accepted a Russian proposal to allow Iran to continue to develop nuclear energy under Russian supervision and AIPAC is downright pissed.

Does Iran have anything we want? Do they harbor anything or anyone unlike us? Will it be profitable?
