Ok its been snowing really ad here so almost all the stores are closed.My hampster ran out of food today and everywhere that sells pet food is closed. I dont want y hampster todie so what can i feed him untilthe stores are opened again????

give him apple pieces, lettuce, carrots, crackers, cheerios, stuff like that.....peanuts. Nothing too sugary or salty.

This is not something you want to do for say, weeks on end, but little bits of bread, any nuts you have lying around the house, crackers, small pieces of fruits and vegetables... Hampsters are vacuums, they'll take anything. Since your guy hasn't had most of this stuff before, he may just stuff it in his cheeks and hide it, but if he's hungry enough, he'll eat :)

You should also know that young hamsters shouldnt be given a large amount of fruit and veg at once because this can upset their tummy and give them diarhea which could cause further problems. You should give them dry food and introduce one or two new fresh foods into their diet a week for a few weeks then you can give them different foods every 3 days or something then build it up gradually like that.

Feed him non-citrous fruits and veggies like carrots, lettuce, or cucumbers. Mine used to love saltine crackers (don't feed him too many). If you have any birdseed lying around, that works too.

carrots, cheerios, toast, celery, fruits veggies, and get to the pet store as soon as it opens. no food with salt or sugar.

when i had mine, i fed him anything and everything, his favorite was cheese pizza...............but if you do not want to do that.....have lettuce, carrots, apples, pears....and fruit or veggie will do or if you have any nuts in your house............no your mom, brother, dad or grandma does not need to be fed to the hampster
