Also, I'm almost positive that I should be having my period this week or the next. I feel like I'm about to get my period, but it keeps not being so. Usually, before I get my period it starts off brownish but within the hour its gone. Im scared and very confused please help..

If it helps, I am sexually active, with one person & we use a condom.

Brown blood is usually old blood, so your body is just removing something that was left over from you last period. Its pretty normal for that to happen. Since your sexually active, even though you use protection, pregnancy should be ruled out. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Since you said it usually starts off brownish when you have your period AND you think you are suppose to start soon... I would wait before you start to worry too bad. Especially if you are not having any other weird symptoms. If your period never comes... you need to go to the Gyno, just in case. It never hurts to go if you are worried about something down there, especially because IF it is something serious... it's better to find out sooner than later. Any advice you get on here will be iffy when it comes to stuff like that because the vagina does a lot of weird things and alot of symptoms for different things are the same or similar. Hope that helps somewhat... Good luck.

I think that sometimes, a discharge is common for up to several days prior to the beginning of one's period. If this is not common with you as you say though, if it continues for a day or 2 more and your period does not begin, I would contact your doctor. I do however think that sometimes though, one's hormones just change over time, and that even if it perhaps was not common for you to have multiple days of a discharge before your period, that perhaps things have just changed. I am NOT a doctor though, so again, if you still feel concerned if this persists, I would get an appointment to see one to see what they say. I hope this helps. Good luck and be well.
