She became famous in the 1970's for playing 'Gloria' on the TV series "All In the Family." After she left the series, she became a spokeswoman for overseas children's charities. She also put on a lot of weight, which is why "South Park" makes fun of her--they like the irony of an overweight woman asking for donations for starving kids. (I'm not saying I agree with them, I'm just explaining why they make fun of her.)

She's a pretty old actress. she was on an old series called All in the Family. She played (Gloria)the daughter of Carroll O' Conner. The series was on tv back in 1979. She also had a small part on Gilmore girls. Before that I know she worked on stage in theater.
