for christ sake ok I know patriot missles are for antiaircraft or anti missle defence..the point is missles like in gulf war ,blasting off from ships too the Iran homeland,,ok ,,,maybee on of you can update the post to the type of missles,,in detial ok,,,cheers

I think the situation is very grave. This is a near Cuban Missile Crisis moment. Both countries are on hair-trigger nerves right now and few citizens really understand what the potential is.
It's not about oil. The president of Iran wants Armageddon. Read his speech to the UN. I know many want to call Bush a religious zealot but that moniker pales to the reality of Iran's current leader.

Why not? After all the Iraqi insurgents are using Iranian made weapons to kill Americans. Never mind that most of their weapons are probably American made, America being the largest arms dealer in the world.
I wonder who makes the arms used by the Janjaweed, the Somali islamists, the Myanmar military, the Taliban and other unsavory and oppresive outlaws. Hmm, could be the Chinese. We'd better check the serial numbers and attack China. Why not? We already know who makes the mines that have been maiming thousands of peaceful people around the world each year. We certainly couldn't attack them.

Patriot missiles are for anti aircraft and anti missile use. Launching them into Iran would be a little silly, as they would do very little damge, and can't target accurately. Do you have any idea of the logistical, diplomatic, and military headache it would be to invade Iran? This would be equivilant to the US declaring war on Spain a week before Normandy.

Obama is maneuvering us into another war to feed the MIC. There are rumors that the Benghazi attack occurred because the CIA was shipping weapons from Libya to Syrian rebels via Turkey. That would explain the flurry of lies about the attack, to cover up what really happened. Jeff, if a Republican president did this, liberals would be bouncing off the walls with anti-war protests.

No, Patriot missiles are "surface to air" missiles. They are meant to shoot down other missiles.
