If I was a snail everything else would be going by so quickly I wouldn't even notice! Does a humming bird notice us very much?
And is there someone (or something!) going so much faster than us we don't notice? Or slower? Assuming there's a God for a moment, just for a moment, what His speed?

I cant run away, i am too slow and the carpet is hurting my delicate skin. So I wait in agony, until I shrivel up and die. Then my mother will look at me in disgust and throw me out the window.

I probably wouldn't run away. Because snails don't run. They slither. So I would slither very slowly away.
