Good day,

I would say drive until you're tired and rotate. You can also treat driving as a work day which is usually eight hours. Most importantly, respect each others time and allow one another to get proper rest. If the both of you are tired than pull over. Don't rush your drive take your time and if you're able to leave early due so, that will allow some extra time. I hope this helps. Be Safe and Happy Driving.

If Your Brother is old enough to drive then you can always take turns. Drive the amount you feel comfortable with just as long as you pull over when your tired. Are you planing on making any stops along the way? Or is the goal something in Indiana like a family reunion or something else that is time sensitive. If it's a time sensitive objective then I'd suggest switching drivers when you get tired so you can put as much distance behind you. Other wise I would suggest you do sightseeing things along the way. You can either figure so many hours behind the wheel each day or so many miles each day. It's possible to do in a twenty-four hour period especially if you trade drivers every so often and severely limit stops for gas food and bathroom breaks to the bear minimum. I would suggest you take a more time than that. Unless you setting an endurance record.

If you can both drive do something like 3-6 hours each and switch off. Also depends if you are stopping at places a long the way (good sight-seeing a long the country).

for me, I am good for about 6 - 7 hours in a car and then I must get out and stand up. my brother could drive from SF to west lafayette, IN in two days. he hated the long miles and just drove on and on forever. only stops were for the restroom. if you have two drivers try switching off. 3 - 4 days is a nice lesiurely pace from california to indiana.

I'd say it's safe to drive for about 10 hours a day. Then you can stop and relax and rest up for the next day.

I truthfully have completed this holiday thrice. as quickly as with a Ford Mustang and two times in Mini trucks. that's paved highway each and each of how, frequently highway. no choose for an SUV except that's what you p.c. tocontinual. We stoped at Hoover Dam besides. This holiday is frequently highway employing via desert. no longer a lot of relax stops alongside the way. We arrived in Vegas on Friday, rented the motor vehicle, stopped for the breakfast buffet on the Paris and ate properly, (do no longer choose lunch in case you consume a large breakfast) offered a disposable styrofoam cooler, a bag of ice besides as soft drinks and a few snacks at a minimart and rancid we went. It takes a sturdy 5 hours to attain the Grand Canyon. We checked in to a motel amazing outdoors the park and then drove into the park to observe the sundown. remarkable! Then we drove back to the motel, had dinner and grew to become in early. We have been given up in the previous daybreak, had breakfast and drove back into the Park for daybreak. Spent the day exploring the Grand Canyon which has paved roadway around the rim with quite some parking and forget factors. There are memento shops and a lookout tower besides. After having our fill of all this scenic elegance, we headed back to the motel, struggling with alongside the way at a steak homestead for dinner and stopped to envision out an area American flea industry. Sunday morning, we appeared at and went back to Vegas to envision into our Strip motel. We drove back to the condominium motor vehicle place and swapped the mini van for a small motor vehicle to serve us for the week. stored money via fact the motel on the Grand Canyon grew to become into lots greater much less high priced than the Strip motel grew to become into for fri. and Saturday (weekends are lots greater high priced in Vegas lodges). a thank you to flow! *

it is a good idea to no more than 8 hrs behind the wheel if not used to going for lond distances...trucking laws is 11hrs but you have to decide when it is time to switch...and then take about a 10min break before you do
