NO, not like a dog in heat, but does a woman get times of super horny feelings where she simply HAS TO HAVE IT?

Honestly now, does anyone know? Does the human body work that way?

I am an MD. This is an interesting question and it has been studied. It appears that women have maximum libido or sexual desire in the week just before the period sets in. The scientists who published this were puzzled, since this is a time when women are least likely to concieve a baby. However, it can be explained by a variety of possible theories, as follows:
1)This is the time of maximal progesterone, and progesterone is very similar to the male hormone testosterone, which causes sexual desire in both sexes. The added boost from the progesterone on top of the already present testosterone in a woman could account for the boost in libido.
2)Since sexuality in humans is much more about pair bonding than it is about conception, a woman might be benefited by higher libido after ovulation so as to enhance her bond with her mate but not flood the system with excess babies to take care of.
3) The female hormone cycle basically prepares for pregnancy every month, only to drop the uterine lining and start over each month. The latter part of the cycle that we are referring to is the "pregnancy" part of the cycle, and this is a time when the female needs her male mate the most, since single women did not fare well nor raise their children to adulthood easily without a male to help her obtain food, shelter, etc. during caveman days. This "nesting instinct" would tend to draw her closer to her male partner.
Anyway it is a very interesting question.

Well back in the days of cavemen women did go through heat once a year like most animals. yes there was a "rutting" season.
Human females go through heat jsut like any other animal, during ovulation. About 10 days after the last day of the menses.

We're good at both. :] Most women can read lips. I'm decent at it but I can't stare at someone's lips if I'm trying to read them because then I can't. I have to look them in the eye and that's how I read lips. It's kind of weird. I also have great ears. I can hear the slightest noise on the other side of the house.
