President Bush created history and started a new age of Oil Colonialism in the 21st Century. The genie of Colonialism cannot be put back into the bottle. The UN Security Council with 14-0 votes voted to recognize United States and Britain as the de jure Occupying Powers in Iraq for a renewable period of one year, and gave the control over Iraqi oil to United States, on May 22, 2003. It meant that United Nations legitimized Colonialism, and rolled back the De-Colonization process and recognized the First Colonial Government of the 21st Century. The Neo Colonial World Order began on May 22, ’03 and colonial empires became legitimate from then onwards. A New god of Oil raised its head in 2003 and the imperial god of Oil Lobby became overnight stronger than all the other Lobbyists, Pressure and Interest groups, political parties and heads of the organized religious Churches.

After United States got the consent of the United Nations Security Council to rule Iraq as legitimate Occupying Power, the God of Oil had its first Kingdom and rest of the world came forward to pay honors to the god of Oil. It is said that Halliburton & Co helped Bush win the Elections 2000 and established Bush Oil Administration in the White House in 2001, and encouraged the Bush Administration to wage war on Afghanistan and Iraq to promote America’s Oil interests. American Jewish lobby supported President Bush’s war on Iraq as a prelude to war on Iran, to protect the State of Israel from continued terrorist attacks financed by Iran, Syria and Iraq. Well, if one actually thinks about it, the people are not really tricked because they know. The problem is that they dont stand up (not sure if using the correct term) for themselfs, family, country and the rest. They believe that their opinion doesnt count in the government because look at all the stuff that the government has done (well the higher powers like Bush) without the consent (not sure if using the proper word) of the people. So they might believe that their effort to protest events, such as the one u said, is futile (effortless).

Glad you have the correct thinking regarding his attack on Iraq. Iran would be another example of his wild wish to control / own another oil country where, incidentally, US had already occupied the same role by placing the last Shah on the throne and kill the elected prime minister Mosadeq. I lived there from 1977 to '79 and saw what benefits US had out of that country and how the Iranians threw the fake and incredibly corrupt ruler out. Now, fortunately the world sees more clearly the "why" of US military intervention.
