I would agree. Just by being decent to others in your daily life makes a difference. Many people, especially the afraid and the weak, welcome a moment of kindness in the lives.
Other people, when they are extremely lazy, shiftless, and do not know how to act properly in society, benefit from a strong yelling at to keep them in line.

Look at a single black man in Africa: Nelson Mandela
Look at an old, decrepit, ugly old woman in India that I guarantee YOU WOULD NOT HAVE wanted to work for, yet she helped 10's of thousands: Mother Theresa
Look at a bald, barefoot man in India who stood up to an Empire and set his country free: Ghandi
Look at a man who revolutionized black and white relations in America: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
What about George Washington? Benjamin Franklin? Edison, Einstein, Christ, Mohammed?
There's a reason that The 1,000 Points of Light was started almost 2 decades ago, because INDIVIDUALS ADD UP, and they do make a difference. Notice how all Charities have the names of people on them, usually?
Because to someone who cared, who still cares, they still make a difference!

Yes, and because I have. In my small way I've changed the minds of homophobes, I've saved a swamp from becoming a landfill, I've tamed the untameable horse, and dog, I've helped to open up kids to the possibility of love without consequences and in doing so I've saved myself.

yes, i do believe this. there are a lot of things that you may know and one person may not know. you can teach that one person, and that one person can teach it to another person, thus creating a domino effect.
