It's legal. Heck, they can wait for you at the supermarket and serve you the papers as long as they can confirm it's you.

What address did you give them to send correspondence to??. If you gave your home address but some how they obtained your work adress then you need to ring them and advise them, that you would apreciate any form of papers to be sent to your home adress. If your polite about it then they should comply. But if you gave them your work address then they are not really to balme are they??
