I can't beleive how many of these people screwed up their answers! Sheesh!

OK, this is how it works.

A meter is about equal to a yard, actually, 39 inches.

A centimeter (cm) is 1/100 of a meter. So it is roughly 1/3 of an inch, in fact there are 2.54 cm in an inch.

So, 5 cm is just a tiny bit less than 2 inches. I can easily remember this because my little finger is almost exactly 5 cm long and my little fingernail is 1cm long.

OK, a millimeter is 1/1000 of a meter, or 1/10 of a centimeter.
So, there are 10 mm in one cm. So 5mm is just half a cm or roughly 1/5th of an inch.

There are 2.54 cm to an inch, so 5 cm is just shy of an inch. 5 mm is one tenth of that. So, no. They are not alot.

1 inch = 25.4 mm and 1 mm = .03937 inch also: 28 mm = 1.10236 inch ( you can use 1.10) ( if you have NOKIA mobile set can use converter software to solve your same problems)

No, they are not. There are 5mm in 1cm, and 100 centimeters in a meter. A meter is about 3.2 feet.
