If its high, soft and slighty open then you are fertile. If its low and closed and hard, like the feeling of the tip of your nose, then you arent. But you really wont be able to feel any changes during the ttw. It can be different at all times, and hard to tell. They say it should be high and closed if pregnant, but that doesnt always happen right away. That could take several weeks into the pregnancy to happen.

My hubby and I ttc for 3yrs. before we got pregnant(5yrs ago). I've never heard of checking your own cervix. But do keep track of the CERVICAL MUCUS. When it becomes stringy (like egg whites) that is your peak fertile time. Have intercourse when this happens. Also lay on your back afterwards, with knees bent and a pillow under your pelvis, for about 30 mins. That's what my Ob told me to do we found out 3 weeks later we were pregnant!Good luck!!

You should seriously leave that for a doctor to do.
