my parents are switching over to cingular soon and have promised me any phone i want if i get good grades. i have great grades(only 1 b!!! which ill have up to an a soon!!) so im gonna get a new phone. what do u guys think about the new iPhone?!?!?! if you dont recommend it, then what should i get instead?!?!?!

i'm getting an iphone, the only reason why is because i want an ipod so i might as well kill two birds with one stone. i have a nokia 9300, it is a GREAT phone, but when my phone upgrade gets here i won't be able to get a new one because it is top of the line. so i'm going to see if i can trade it in for an iphone, since they are basically the same thing but the iphone has more space for music. for less money. my phone cost like 600 bucks. it's less now, but i wanted it then so i got it for that incredible amount of money. stupid, i know.

I don't think the iPhone is that great. Sure, it has touchscreen, sensors, and OS X, but the OS (operating system) will most likely have limited compatibility with your other apps on your mac (if owned). It also doesn't support 3G, it uses Cingular EDGE. The screen is too wide for regular widescreen videos and so proprietary formats and resolutions can be supported. I'd say there's a lot of unneeded features, but I admit it sounds cool. However, don't get your hopes up, it could be another ROKR.

The first model of the iPhone is going to be a hunk of crap. I work in a store that sells cell phones, and I can tell you that you'll be better off waiting for the second model to come out. By then, they should have all the kinks worked out. In the meantime, I'd recommend a Sony Ericcson, it plays mp3s, etc, and it's a nice phone. And the price is MUCH nicer than the iPhone will be.

I say yes its amazing... ipod.. internet access (real)...IM...Email....Games and get this a phone.
There is so much you can do with the ipohe and its even touch screen but the drawback is it isn't coming this month or next.. i belive the planned day is around june so i guess you have some time to work on those grades. But if you get high marks.. the iphone is the best...with a huge price tag thow!

the iphone looks amazing, no buttons at all, just one touch screen, can do anything any other phone can do plus more, has alot more room then anyother phone if your looking into the mp3 player part of it. but it is alot more expensive then anyother phone.
