Bush is a masterful President who has done nothing wrong.
We clearly have won in Afghanistan. Iraq is going well. The economy has never been better. He has solved the immigration problem. Rich people need tax breaks too. Iran had it coming, they said some pretty mean things.
Just blame the unions its much easier.

When management is full of accounts that cannot figure out what the public wants and unions force wages and therefore prices up everyone at the company is to blame. However, there is no (and never has been) a lifetime job. That is 1 reason this country is successful the workforce changes jobs as old jobs are unnecessary and new jobs are in need of workers. If there were lifetime jobs we would be riding horses (cannot get rid of saddle makers...) and horse powered carriages (cannot get rid of carriage makers, buggy whip makers...) Is it better to keep the jobs for a brief period of time then the company goes out of business and everyone looses their job?? Try reading "Free to Choose" and/or studying economics. Blaming this on the president is just stupid (I am not saying I like him, I would say the same for any one else).

A fool jumps into a fight between two thugs gets and beat up. The thugs then kill each other. The fool then demands we pay him credit for trying to keep innocents from being hurt. Not me. Why? Because a deputy was there too. The Deputy was waiting for a good moment and would have found one, being as two-person fights go. The Deputy would have broken up the fight before the thugs killed each other. But when the fool jumped in and got beat up, the deputy had to deal with him first. That's when the thugs managed to kill each other. The fool has blood on his hands -- the thugs have their own blood on their hands, but they are dead. But the fool is now a person possibly guilty of manslaughter, but at least of being a fool who took matters into his own hands when the law would handled it. In the case of GM./Chrysler the thugs are management and union. The Deputy was the normal process of State-court bankruptcy proceedings. The Fool? WE ALL KNOW WHO THE FOOL IS!

It's not working well at all. I traditionally vote Democratic and I am from Michigan. But let me assure you that Bush is not to blame for all of Michigan's woes. We have a Democratic governor into her second term (who I did not vote for this time around) who has done nothing to help the economic disaster in Michigan. And strangely, she reminds me of Bush in her personality....she stubbornly refuses to "look outside the box" of her own already set-in-stone mind. She is just as arrogant as her alter-ego in the White House. I am fed up with them both!
And if Mags thinks the economy is doing so great I sure would like to invite her to try living in Michigan. People are out of work and there are no jobs to be found!

Foreign auto makers have for some time been making automobiles in America using American workers and they are gaining more and more of the market. For example, I've a Chevy and a Mitsubishi, both manufactured in the US. My Mitsubishi is well built while my Chevy is falling apart (almost the same year of manufacturing). Mitsubishi distributes their earnings more fairly to their employees while with American manufactures its all about the CEO taking the biggest chunk and then bowing out. Its the difference in management and the fact that the republican way of economics makes it so easy for those on top to screw those that actually do the work.

Oh yes i can see how you connect job cuts (happens everyday, people go on) to war...by the way the economy is blossoming...how about a subsciption to the Wall street journal for you.
We have always had problems with Iran now for going onto thirty years or so and so far there has been no invasion but hey lets keep the evil dictator in place plotting an attack on the US

How about staying the course on the lowest unemployment rates continuously, for quite a long time under Bush. Not so under any recent democratic president. I don't care for the idea of letting the illegals drive down wages, etc., but the dem.'s are far worse-minded in that area.

Now maybe the poor economy that I've been harping on for months will be "revealed" to those who think all is going well!!
We should have "Stayed the Course" with Dems while we had a treasury full of money!...while we still had the respect of some of the world....while someone cared for diplomacy...while someone cared for the poor!

Wow Mags.. What the hell is wrong with you? People are losing their jobs! Their only source of income! And people go on? Think of all the families who are going to be suffering out there, and how tough competition is for finding another job? Think about the children they have who are going to sacrifice things and learn at a very innocent age about very adult financial problems, and the parents who now have to tell them? Think about the longer welfare lines and growing poverty levels. Stop being insensitive and ignorant. You are completely an idiot.

No, it is not Bush's fault. The UAW has forced these crap cars on us for 40 years and never tried to expand into Japan. Now, the Japanese have expanded into the US. This is nothing more than the accumulation of US petty bourgeoisie and union hubris!!!

Listen you want to blame someone blame the unions. It is almost impossible to fire a union worker and the wages and benefit long ago surpassed the worth of the work. The quality and durability of American made cars is crap if it weren't they would have no trouble competing.
