Sure. Go. Usually the hardest part is trying to find out if the girl likes you or not. You already know that she does. You've already gotten past the first step. Why not enjoy yourself? It's not as though you are getting married or anything. Start off as friends and then work up to really good friends. Take it slow. I had a boyfriend in 8th grade. It was kind of here and there. Nothing too serious but we did enjoy each others company. We finally got together at a graduation party at his house at the end of the year. It lasted all summer until we were freshmen in High School. So go for it. Who knows? At least it will be someone to hang with and stories to share. But don't let your friends get involved into it. That's the worst. Hers either. Good luck. I hope you decide to try it. If not now then when. It will be good to go for it now instead of in High School . That's so much harder.

Absolutely, just don't get overly excited. Act normal like you would with a guy friend. You don't have to be making joke after joke after joke. If she likes you, its for your natural personality.

And don't worry about your grades. Honestly, they really don't matter at all. Nobody will ask you about them in your adult life. And here's advice for high school - Take a lot of shop classes. Knowing how to fix a car, weld, pour concrete, work in wood; these things will legitimately help you and give you opportunities. Advanced Placement Algebra makes you feel smarter than people, but once you've graduated and the kids in shop are making 25$ an hour while you know how to solve for x; you won't feel smart anymore.

Why aren't you out with her now??? If you like her, she likes you, you make good grades and she won't be a distraction, go for it! Just remember, don't be so afraid. Be yourself, and find out what she is interested in. You'll do ok. Don't be shy (although shy is kind of cute sometimes!). And enjoy yourself. If you want to go out with her, in the long run, you won't regret it. The worst that can happen is that you'll decide she isn't who you thought she was. But, the best that can happen is beyond belief.

Go out on the date. To help with the jitters, invite another couple to go with you two. Perhaps a pizza/soda date....or a walk in the mall date. Don't go to the movies, 'cause that puts too much pressure on you/her for a first date.

Don't let people push things for you. Be friends and keep you nose in the books.

Good luck and I hope I helped you.

Go ahead and go out with her, it's always good to try something new and just take a step outward of your comfort level. This is the start of a new you, you should take it in stride and have a good time. Try not to worry and be nervous, because there's nothing to worry about - just be yourself and have a good time.

Well to tell you the truth, I think not because it is kind of stupid to go out somewhere in 8th grade. Couldn't at least wait till you can drive? Just about 2 more years.

you gotta knw which ones your priority. if it is to make "skyrocketing grades" then i dont think its time to go out wth a grl because believe me, relationships could be a distraction ;) if you really like her, then go for it! just be sure you could balance both. goodluck!

It's your choice, but it sounds like you're pretty close to making it--you like her, she likes you, you don't think she'd distract you from your grades, so go for it.

Dude, relax, if you like each other enough to go out, then just go out. You don't need to marry the girl, just go on a date, enjoy the experience. If you still like her, go out again, if not, say "thanks very much i had a nice time." and you don't need to see her again.
