I think they are sitting there getting paid good money to let the phone ring 4 or 5 times before they decide to answer it. I know they are the rudest ppl.

unless the company is really a cheap azz company, I think they let them sit. Some may also offer sitting as an incentive bonis, do well, and you can sit by instead of stand by.
