I am that age, but decidedly have different tastes than others my age. But I like creamy yellows that feel like butter and are very soothing. I like soft muted greens for a soft soothing color with a touch of color. These soft muted colors will suit many types of bedding and will be a nice place to chill and relax. Soft purples are really nice if she is more girly than sporty. These colors with liven up the room but will be perfect after a weary day. Baby blues are a little overdone and maybe to babylike. A suede brown and buttery yellow would be perfect for a more upscale feel. A room with good natural light would fare well in these colors.

Paint multi colors. Like paint the whole room a darkish blue. Let dry and take a sponge. Lightly color the bottom of the sponge wit a lighter blue and press aginst the wall. Should leave a cool non plain color.

Hi. I am an artist and work w/ colors everyday. I also do freelance interior decorating. A great color for a teenagers room is a pastel yellow. It is neutral enough to go w/ lots of color schemes. It looks fresh, and sunny. I would recommend doing the trim in white, definitely. It can be bright enough not to be boring also! Thats my recommendation!

Light blue (not baby blue). At first this may seem plain, but you should pick a color that isn't one-dimensional. (i.e. has purples and pinks mixed in for a very versatile blue that will compliment many types of decor) My room is a very fresh bright blue, and it makes me happly every time I walk in! (p.s. I am 14.)

okay well my friend has this room that is absolutely gorgeous for a teen girl. its pale pink with a hot pink stripe around the whole room. you might also want to go with a minty green or bright lavendar color. they're all good options, easy to find bedding, and girlish but not frilly.
