No, it's not!!! I would not recommend trying any other drug, including alcohol, as those can be dangerous but pot never hurt anybody!!! And to the guy that said potheads are dumber than the rest of the population......
I started working in a law firm when I was 17 years old as a secretary, went to law school fresh out of high school and am now partner. (The youngest partner my firm has ever had.) I smoked pot everday in college and passed with flying colors, LITERALLY!! Don't knock it till you try it and it seems to me that you may be a little ignorant yourself!!!

no it has been proven to be the least dangerous of all illegal drugs. There has never in all of recorded history been anyone who has had to be hospitalized because of marijuana (except for maybe a stomach pump cause the munchies got the better of them) . It is because of the nature of the chemical's interaction with you body. it increases the seratonin released and interferes with your synapses. Neither of which is enough to kill you or hurt you regardless of how much you have in your system. But it does make you stupid, if you've ever been around a bunch of chronic potheads its pretty obvious they are a little dumber than the rest of the population.

You could overdose on it (if you smoke about 15 pounds in 15 minutes). Otherwise, it's less harmful than a cigarette (long term).
Most of the carcinogens in cigarettes come from the production process.
Short term, it does increase your heart rate and BP, but no more than a couple of cups of coffee.
As for the heroine connection, most addicts also smoke, drink alcohol, and have used every form of narcotic known to man. It's not the weed that led them to heroine; it's their addictive personalities that led them to weed.

No marijuana is not dangerous! It is not a gateway drug. Alcohol is more of a gateway drug to the more dangerous drugs. Marijuana relaxes you that is the reason more people that drink alcohol which gives you a buzz goes to the more dangerous drugs so they can get a higher and faster buzz!!!! My opinion!!!!

relatively harmless and less so than alcohol...I really don't have a problem with legalizing it, but I won't use it....I work around heavy equipment and do not want someone smoking pot working with me, even if he only smokes it on weekends....because I smoked it years ago and know that the effects are longer lasting than alcohol. Although the intensity of the high is diminished in 24 hours, the pot is still in your system much longer than alcohol...I do not want a pot user working with me because I do not want to die because someone wasn't paying enough attention to his vehicle or equipment....If people want to legalize it, some attention should be allowed so that employers can "weed" out the pot users around dangerous machinery....fine if you want to smoke it if your an office worker, but I don't want you next to bulldozers or operating them....

No, but it can impair your judgement, behind the wheel of a 3 thousand pound vehicle, or any device, so if your going to toke, then toke at home and stay there.

Not terribley dangerous by itself, but when you consider that 99 percent of heroin addicts started by smoking pot it doesn't look so attractive.
