Thats very subjective- talking about different values. I believe if Republicans actually took a couple of moments to think about the poverty of America, the different financial hardships so many people go through, the millions of jobs that are being moved overseas, the companies who had to cutback taking away 1000's of jobs, the struggle for equal rights among American citizens, the soldiers dying for a war that is impossible to win unless adding a extreme more amount of soldiers by reinstating the draft, the citizens out there who are not Christians who would like rights, the environmentalists, women who have a right to have choice, and everyone who goes out and fills out many applications a day but no one will hire them.... then I really dont think conservatives would be conservatives for long. "How can YOU argue against the facts?"

I listen to conservatives, I dont mind doing it, I understand where they are coming from. It is always nice to hear an opposing argument.
Jon Stewart is a comedian, he is doing a fake news program. He takes actual news and picks out the parts that can most easily be made fun of. He is not telling blatant lies, just mocking and he does it both sides as well. Bush and Co, have just given him alot of ammunition these last few years.
After discussing things with a conservative I have changed my mind on a few things.

Well, you slipped in all of your preconceived ideas, but I'll still try to answer rationally......
I'm a very liberal Liberal, and, yes, I do listen to Conservatives, especially when they ARE stating facts. Most of the time they are just ranting (but a lot of "us" do it, too.) Once in a while I learn something from the Cons, too. (Liberal=open mind).
But, I disagree with your final statements. I don't find many "facts" in most of the Con answers here; I find rah! rah! Bush!! or just mindless parrotting of the party line.
One of the "reasons" that I am a Lib is that I keep looking for answers; I don't just blindly accept whatever rhetoric comes from our politicians--Or--from answer-ers on Y!A.

if you truly listened to liberals... you would realize they use facts too...
sorry to crash your little scheme here...
either that or you think that "liberal facts" are jokes and never bothered to look them up ever?
and, while Jon Stewart is a comedian, please explain where he has not used rational thinking in the past... basically support your idea with facts...which you say you have...
why is it I always see conservatives talking about how they use facts... espeically on here...yet they always seem to forget to actually use them (and cite them)?
But to answer your question... I do... and some use facts... often they conviently leave out key facts that don't support them though... like actual solid terror links to Iraq...

definite, and watch Fox information more desirable, too. that's obvious the way they discuss Shawn Hannity, and bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, etc. that's form of humorous. Fox information is the most watched information Channel, and why is that? Libs out huge variety Reps about 2 to at least a million, so it really is Libs who save that station so prevalent! talk radio to boot. possibly we Reps should be putting forward thanks for once to the Liberals? LMAO!

I listen to both sides. Jon Stewart is a comedian, rational thinking isn't his strong suit.

Bush never listens, that is why he continues with his liberal course of war losing, nation building, big brother communist domestic spying, and liberal lying! More than 5 times the discretionary spending of Clinton. Bush - the ultimate neocon (AKA Liberal).

This is so funny. The conservative tactic for years has been to scream over the voices of all those who disagree with them, accuse them of being traitors, and ignore their point of view.Or they just make sh*t up.From Dubya to O'Reilly,Hannity, and that ol' dope fiend,Limbaugh. But now that liberals are making a comeback, you're going to accuse them of your own sins?Same old song and dance.

I like this question. I don't believe the libs respect the conservative's point of view at all because they fight it all the time and never just allow someone to have a different view.

Some do - I actually have quite a few flaming liberal friends. We even talk politics - and they all respect my opinions and beliefs, because I can back them up.
But in the bizarre world of YA, very few liberals are sane enough to realize that conservatives *are* entitled to our points of view.
