He scores all the goals, and the team doesn't seem to have any form when he isn't playing, but he is never refered as a key part of the team.

I heard a rumour that ronaldinho may be leaving Barca n Eto'o is most likely heading out himself, if this happens it will be the end of Barca. Just like Chelsea in England. Internal conflicts, u cant live with em, u can live with out em.
If Ronaldinho leaves he might be heading to Man Utd, swap for C.Ronaldo. As a Man Utd fan, i say we dont want u Ronnie. We want to keep C.Ronaldo.

You're wrong. Eto'o is a key player. But he doesn't score all the goals. You can say he scores most of the goals. But that's his job, because he is a striker. Ronaldinho is there to make those plays happen. Eto'o couldn't score those goals without Ronaldinho and you can see it when Ronaldinho isn't playing. As for their influence on the team - well Ronaldinho does have more influence. Barca can play well without Eto'o IF some other striker steps up. While, when Ronaldinho isn't playing even if Eto'o is playing... Barca is not the same - the performance or the result. They are both world class, but the difference is - Eto'o is a world class STRIKER, while Ronaldinho is a world class PLAYER.

Eto'o gets plenty of respect from true fans. However he has been racially taunted at matches, which is a sad but true occurence in football. But Ronaldinho is recognized as the best player in the world, thats why the respect Eto'o gets is less than Ronaldinho.. Its like saying during Jordan, why does Michael Jordan get more respect than Scottie Pippen.. Both are great players but one happens to be better than the other.

Ronaldinho is recognized more because he's in the national team of Brazil who won the world cup in 02 with him. Eto'o is with Cameroon and they didn't even get in the 06 world cup so they didn't get a chance to compete 4 the title. Ronaldinho also does awesome moves and goals.
Go 2 youtube and see some of the Ronaldinho videos most of them are of him and tricks.

Eto'o has 3 African player of the year award. He does get some kind of respect but I personnally think that play makers like Ronaldinho or Zidane get more respect than strikers and that's why there's that gap between the African and the Brazilian.

He thinks he's the ****. he's not though. there is a fine line between teamwork and individual skills. Every brazilian have ind skills, but they never let tat get in the way of the team's success. Anyone that knows football rates Eto'o.
Ronaldinho is known to the public at large because he is talented and because he is a media whore.
I think Eto'o gets plenty of respect; respect from where it matters that is.
