Neither statement is correct because if the first statement were correct, then the second statement would have to be "the statement above is false" in order to be correct, and then the statement above would be incorrect. If the second statement were correct, then the first statement would say that the second statement is false, which contradicts it. Therefore, neither statement is true.

They are both correct. A 'statement' by definition stands alone, therefore S1 is correct when it states that S2 is "False". S2 stands alone and is therefore a false statement(by definition of S1), regardless of what it says. It works the same way if you read S2 first.

It is a paradox. If you include the first sentence "Can you figure it out?" and assume that it is true (i.e. "yes"), then the second statement can be false, the third statement true (referring to the first sentence, the question), and it will resolve.

That's kind of a cheezy solution, I know.
