Today I was in yet another shouting match with my English teacher, who is an incompetent lady with a rage control problem, and I told her that because I am getting tired of her harraassment. She told me I was acting like the B word so I called her the same thing back and she told me to go to the office and I refused. She said she was does not want me to come back to her class until my dad and the principal meet with her, and I told her she cannot interfere with my right to an education. The principal called my dad and he is really annoyed at me and said I am going to "get it" when he gets home but he is such a workaholic be won't be home for 2 hours. How can I convince my dad that I was merely defending myself and not provoking anything?

I am 16, and spoiled.

CONGRATS 2 YOU!!!! I'm 13 (going to be 14 in two weeks), and I'm spoiled only child, lol!

U need to report this teacher to the principle IMMEDIATLY!!!! THAT IS NO WAY FOR A TEACHER TO ACT, REGARDLESS IF U ARE SPOILED OR NOT

(and i'm not saying being spoiled is a bad thing, as long as u give back to the community, don't mind waiting for the things u want, and share u things, being spoiled is totally fine =D )!!!! i'm spoiled, and i'm like the nicest person on the planet (as long as u don't piss me off, lol) just ask anybody i know, lol =)

have u told ur parents about this teacher? i think that would be a good idea. NO ONE, REGARDLESS OF AGE, HAS THE RIGHT TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT, REGARDLESS ON HOW MUCH ATHORITY THEY HAVE OVER U, U MUST NOT LET PEOPLE TREAT U LIKE THAT!!!!! THAT WAS UNACCEPTIBLE!!!!

LIKE TOTTALY, lol

Yes, we have all been there.
But, in the REAL WORLD, which school is preparing you for, you never have the luxury of speaking your mind.
School and teachers are training you not only in English and other subjects, but in life-skills, and these are more important than any of the subjects. School is a "practice-world", and it's important to approach it from that angle. You are being trained to get over hurdles, and it won't do you any good to kick one of the hurdles. That is the REAL education you are saying you have a right to---they are actually trying to give it to you, when they "correct" you.
It is VERY good to have a teacher with a rage control problem---because you are there to learn how to deal with someone in authority over you, and survive the experience intact. How better to learn it?
In the future, where you will spend your adulthood, you will need every skill of self-control, politeness, smiling even when you're enraged, being silent even when you're insulted, complimenting awful people, and saying, "yes, thank you" in all the horrible situations of life. School is your place to practice these skills which will let you survive later.

I don't know who you think you are impressing with your behaviour or attitude.I don't know if your father truly thinks your behaviour is OK ,is frustrated with you or he just doesn't care. You sound like an insecure girl who must draw attention to herself because she would be invisible otherwise.I remember that in a prior question you mentioned that your mother had died. I was sorry to hear that because you are at an age when she could be very important in your life.I would like to think t you would take a few moments and quietly reflect upon your life and try figure out how your mother would feel if she were alive to witness your behaviour. I'm sure your father thinks at 16 you should be more responsible. You shouldn't have to convince your dad you were doing the right thing at 16 .It is easy to impress other teens while you are on the Internet, but to impress and be cool in real life is so much more difficult.

no, it is a lot too lengthy so i visit in elementary words answer what i opt to. An opinion is not only an adjective; a ingredient might want to be objectively yellow or objectively efficient case in point. An opinion is a own information that varies between distinct human beings and does no longer unavoidably mirror the real nature of issues. i for my area have self assurance (inspite of if there is room for doubt) that individuals ought to all finally have an identical opinion, because there is one suitable global, there should be in elementary words one suitable way of seeing it, inspite of (or somewhat, possibly incorporating all) perspectives. So how is it that you don't like even as human beings say "ought to" yet you're making arbitrary pronouncements of "won't be able to" to describe issues human beings ought to no longer do because that's unreasonable. Your way is whinier and does no longer renowned the actual incontrovertible reality that "hell definite they could"

Well, you are 16 and spoiled.

Teacher shouldn't be cursing you out. But then again, YOU didn't bother to explain what touched off the confrontation.

On the one hand, having the moxy to stand up and fight for yourself is commendable, but only if you choose your battles wisely and do not pick a fight over something of no consequence.

Sounds like the teacher isn't the only one with an anger management problem.

Oh yeah, one more thing, there is a very delicate, ever so fine line between a spoiled 16 year old, and a b*itch.

Frist off, saying your spoiled and laughing about it, is really stupid. How about you go to hte princable and talk to him or her about hte teacher compane and do it over and over. You shouting back hurt you even more and will show the princable and your father that you maybe started it. Just keep your mouth shut walk out of the class to the office. Dont yell back Im sure your smarter than that.

You, most definately, are extremely SPOILED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I truly hope you get kicked out of school!
You need to learn how to respect people!
Teachers not only graduate high school, they must go to college and then be certified to teach.
You have NO right to yell at anyone!
You do have a right to education but when you mess it up (by being totally disrespectful) - then your rights are gone!
STOP acting so immature and get a life!
Why lie to your dad - he will be notified by the school. Just admit your mistake and do a lot of apologizing!
