According to this article from Wikipedia, yes, Otto did some editing, but it depends which version you are reading.

"This caught the interest of Contact Publishing in Amsterdam, who approached Otto Frank to submit a draft of the manuscript for their consideration. They offered to publish but advised Otto Frank that Anne's candor about her emerging sexuality might offend certain conservative quarters and suggested cuts. Further entries were deleted before the book was published on June 25, 1947."

"At the end of 1950 a translator was found to produce an English-language version. Barbara Mooyaart-Doubleday was contracted by Vallentine, Mitchell & Co. in England and by the end of the following year her translation was submitted, now including the deleted passages at Otto Frank's request and the book appeared in America and Great Britain 1952."

You may want to read the entire article because there's some pretty interesting info in there.

BTW, I loved the book & both versions of the movie. And, if you're ever in Amsterdam, I highly recommend visiting the place where they hid. It's really moving.

first of all, Anne frank is a lady no longer boy as you suggested "is it made up through his father, otto ?!" second, Anne wrote in a diary, besides the undeniable fact that the screenplay that you possibly study grow to be written through her dad, besides the undeniable fact that it grow to be depending off her diary. He did not falsify issues a lot if in any respect. desire that helps.

I believ he edited it because there are some things in it in regards to a young lady growing up that he felt was innapropriate for publishing.
