The term comes from 'preparatory school,' which is a private high school that prepares you for college. Typically such schools are attended by the wealthy. There was a popular and silly book some years ago called 'the preppie dictionary' or something similar, and it was not kind to the wealthy people it poked fun at.
I'm afraid that in any society where there are both rich and poor people you're likely to be criticized for your wealth despite any other virtues you might possess. The car and the clothes are an open invitation to ridicule.
In the US, it's generally best to exercise stealth wealth. The car needn't be quite so fancy, the clothes not so obviously expensive. It makes life easier for you and yours. Most of the wealthiest and most influential people live surprisingly modest lives for just that reason.

Hehe, in trouble-free words go away the great answer to the voters. That way it somewhat is going to be thoroughly random. i'm a junior (11th grade) customary day: 4 instructions. time table is seven preparation and one "loose" damaged up into 2 days. The order of educating switches each and every 2 days so Day a million's afternoon preparation grow to be Day 3's morning preparation etc. each and every classification is one and a a million/2 hours lengthy. between era a million and 2 is a twenty minute smash, between 2 and three is a 40 minute smash and between 3 and four is a 15 minute smash. I take english, technological guidance, technologies, math, overseas places language (on provide are jap, chinese language, French and Spanish) and history. No, i do not get teased/ bullied. My college isn't too cliqueish. people draw close out with acquaintances, in many circumstances people of the similar ethnicity draw close out mutually, yet there aren't from now on the classic intense college cliques. Stereotypes are gentle and do not impact some thing. we've a uniform.. so people can no longer gown goth/ emo/ diverse to boot. people do pass underage eating, use drugs, concept it truly is between the hardcore clubbing people... there are some, yet no longer too many.

A prep is a person who wears Abercrombie and Hollister and the like. They tend to be fairly well off. You probably are a prep, but people shouldn't judge you before they get to know you. Just blow people off who are prejudiced like that.

A prep is an affluent, stuck-up, self-centered bastard who will never be able to keep a woman because he is so in love with himself. I don't know you, so I can't say that you fit that mold, but in a nutshell that's what a prep is.
