ive babysit over 40 kids and babies over the past 4 years (at their parents houses). me n my fiance are moving into an apartment in march. i want to continue working with children so i want to babysit in the apartment (from 3 to 4 kids or babies) i plan on having openings for any hours and any days. i thought about putting an ad in the newspaper. but how would you feel about your kids being babysat by someone? im trying to see what other peoples feelings are on about it, because i dont wanna put the ad in the paper and then nobody call. and also how much do u think i should charge?

If you have excellent referances, put that in your ad. It will help you immensely. I would charge at least $10 an hour per child, with a discount if you watched them over 40 hours per week.

Good babysitters are very hard to find. But I probably wouldn't answer a newspaper ad for a babysitter I didn't know unless I was really desperate, and even then I would be more likely to cancel my plans. If you were licensed, and had a business location I might reconsider.

I wouldn't have a problem with it as long as you're a good babysitter. Good luck.

I wouldn't want anyone who couldn't write a coherent sentence in English watching my kid.
