Any suggestions? Like classes for potions, herbology, defense against the dark arts, divination, etc.

Or

grades, sorting, whatever

It'd be really fun if you could have a Quidditch game.

I would do a sorting - as people enter you can place them in houses. Have people placed in a random way. Then you'll have teams.

Maybe groups could be assigned the task of creating a magical creature. They have to name it, tell where it comes from, what it can do and how to take care of it. I meant to say MAKE it, too. Maybe? At least draw it.

You could do a HP trivia game, using clappers or something like it for people to buzz in.

Gotta do best costume, right?

You could do that game where people have names on their foreheads - everyone else knows who they are, and they get clues from others to guess their true identity.

Maybe you could all make quills and ink - write old school. (I had in a social studies book how to do some of this.)

On that note, you could find physic or chemistry experiments that don't take much but seem magical. There's invisible writing, wintergreen mints are supposed to spark in your mouth after they've been in the freezer (and you're in the dark.)

Might do a scavenger hunt. You might even have a tournament like the goblet of fire.

And DEFINITELY have some gross looking food that tastes much better than it looks. I'm thinking of the candy.

Enjoy! I love the books, but I'll get mine at my front door rather than waiting somewhere. What a party pooper I am!

One of the activities could be guess the card. Have someone hold up a playing card and have another person try to guess what it is. You could call it Clairvoyant Cards. You could do some research and teach about some basic herbs and what they are used for-there is your herbology class. They could make their own magic wands or decorate store bought besoms.
