What were the "good" robots called? I know the "bad" ones were called Deceptacons.

Decepticons = Bad
Beast Wars & Beast Machines
Maximals = Good
Predacons = Bad
Robots In Disguise

Dinobots were also good robots
Aerialbots were also on the good side
Basically all the robots that's name ended in "bot" were good guys while the ones which ended with "con" were bad. (Like the constructicons, stunticons, insecticons, etc)

but shockwave not soundwave was my fav. he turned into a gun that lit up and made cool sounds
