yes it is somewhat. I usually see when it is, but it takes me a little longer then it takes for an opposing party member

I don't support any particular political party, and while I agree that both parties attempt to manipulate people's thinking, I am rather a non-conformist. I am very open minded, and willing to change my opinions, when presented with new information, or at least look into new information for myself. But, I can only accept what makes sense to me. Sometimes, I can see more than one side to a given argument, and sometimes, I just feel that I need more information before I can decide how I feel, or what I believe about an issue. So, no, it is not easy to manipulate my thinking, values, or beliefs!!!!!!

You ask some good questions. I do not feel that my thinking is easily manipulated by my political party. I vote predominantly Republican, but there are issues on that party line that I don't always agree with either. I'm sure there are Dems who don't adhere to every doctrine of their party as well. I don't think the GOP has any "special power" to influence my thinking. I am pretty stubborn though. If I don't agree with something, then I just don't agree with it - even if the majority in my party are all for it.

I wold hope not... but at the same time... no one usually is aware that they are being manipulated...
everyone thinks they are too smart for it...
and almost everyone is trying to manipulate your thinking in some way...
I don't think I'm "easily" manipulated though, since my opinions seem to often differ from those around me... if I was easily manipulated, I would probably conform to their beliefs...

I really don't know. I do agree with mostly everything liberals agree with, and I've had those beliefs before I even knew the different between Republicans and Democrats. I really am against the common, stereotypical values of Republicans, and against the way they usually believe economically.

I often vote for Democrats, and that particular party is waaay to dumb to manipulate my thinking, values, or beliefs.

No and no, but why would you think that people who are being so manipulated would recognize it or admit it if they did? It's pretty easy to recognize the people are being manipulated here by their questions and answers.

Good question...Personally I don't want to have anything to do with either party. After all the damage the Bush Administration has done...helll....I'm thinking about moving to New Zealand!

as they claim the liberals own the media, republicans trust the decision of President Bush who has a lower IQ than Hitler himself, and never got a grade higher than a C+ in High School, it shows them how manipulated they are, as for me im sure I AM TOO.
